Neff K5920L0GB American Style Fridge Freezer – Review

I’ve been looking around for the best integrated fridge freezer combination that I could find and I ended up purchasing the Neff K5920L0GB American Style Fridge Freezer. I threw out my old fridge and I sold my barely functioning freezer to a relative. I won’t be needing it anymore since I have both a fridge and a freezer in one with this fantastic integrated combination. The Neff brand is not very well known, but I can’t imagine why. These people really know fridges! It may be pricey, but you certainly get what you pay for. This spacey fridge is as decent as they come. The doors swing open to the left and to the right and the enormous interior just smiles at you!

The Neff K5920L0GB has a wonderful stainless steel look. The side panels are made of Metallic Chrome. Very stylish indeed. The fridge is almost as tall as me. And I’m 6’2” so that really says a lot. I don’t think everybody will be able to fit this American fridge freezer into their kitchen, because it’s also fairly wide. And then it needs the space for its doors to be able to be opened.

This fridge has an A+ energy rating so I’m not worried about racking up enormous electrical bills. It’s also completely frost free. There is no need for manual defrosting. I’m so glad to be rid of that nasty little chore. My old fridge required defrosting on a regular basis and I hated it. There are 4 shelves for storing all the food. You can take one or two out if, for some reason, you want to create more room inside. This fridge even has anti bacterial protection. The special coating prevents bacteria from growing into larger colonies. This keeps food hygienic and fresh and I can definitely taste the difference. Naturally, this fridge can also dispense ice cubes.

Beko AB910W American Fridge Freezer – Review

We had no idea which brand we wanted to buy. We’ve been looking around for maybe a whole month and we still couldn’t decide on which American fridge freezer to purchase. There are just too many options. So we just went ahead with the Beko AB910W American Fridge Freezer. We had never heard of this brand before, but the fridge looked to us like it was of a pretty sturdy make. We expect it to be at least as durable as some of the other, more reputable brands out there.

The Beko AB910W is a classic white model and it fits well in any kitchen. Unless ofcourse you have a kitchen that is predominantly dark. But ours, like most of our friends’ kitchens, is light. A white fridge looks best here. There are other American fridge freezer combos in the Beko range with different sizes and different colors, but this one suited our personal interior the best. I’m very pleased with the stylish look and all of the interior space that it offers. It has an A+ energy rating so it’s not that expensive when it comes to electricity.

There are a number of glass shelves in this fridge. They are adjustable in case you want to store food items that take up a lot of space in the upwards direction. It also has an egg tray ofcourse, and two large salad crispers with a glass cover. Then there is the rack for bottles. We like to have a nice glass of wine every once in a while, so we use this rack very intensively. The doors can be hinged from either the left or the right. Whichever you prefer. All in all this is a very spacey American fridge freezer that I, for one, am very proud to call myself owner of!

Samsung RSH1DTMH Fridge Freezer – Review

It wasn’t easy to pick one, but me and my wife finally decided to go with the Samsung RSH1DTMH Fridge Freezer. This is a very big U.S. style fridge freezer with centre outward opening doors. We bought it brand new but it was on sale so we managed to save a couple of hundred bucks. Even though this fridge is so much bigger, I don’t expect it to use a whole lot more energy. It has an A+ energy efficiency rating so the electric bill should stay more or less the same. According to the manual, it consumes 530kWh/yr.

I’ve always liked the look of the Samsung RSH1DTMH American style fridge freezer as well. It’s a Manhattan silver and it just couldn’t be classier than this. This fridge also has a LED display on the outside that will show you all sorts of statistics, such as the inside temperature and everything. You can also make temperature settings yourself. I have the setting at almost the lowest temperature level. I like my food and beverages pretty cold. And in case I feel my beverage is not cold enough, this fridge also has an ice cube dispenser. This feature comes with almost every modern fridge today.

Other features about this integrated fridge freezer combination, are A+ energy rating, twin cooling, multi flow, true color built in LED display, 350+ liter capacity, concealed hinges, water & ice dispenser, open door alert and 3 glass shelves. The size of this machine is about 175cm high, 90cm wide and 65cm deep. It’s pretty big, but I think it will fit in most people’s kitchens. For a company that usually makes television sets, this is a pretty good fridge. It’s a very sturdy design and I think the durability of this fridge will be excellent as well!

Smeg FA550X2 American Fridge Freezer – Review

There are so many American Fridge Freezers out there that it’s just not funny anymore. They range from only a few hundred dollars to almost a thousand dollars. I had to do a lot of reading before I finally settled on the Smeg FA550X2 American Fridge Freezer. So far I’m very content with it. I’ve had it in use for about a month now and I was asked to write a review about it. I don’t mind at all, because this fridge has truly made my life easier. The number one reason why I bought it was because it offered so much room interior space than my previous fridge.

Even though it has plenty of space on the inside, it is not particularly bulky. It is still small enough to fit through a normal door, so that made the installation of it a lot easier. This American fridge freezer should fit nicely in most people’s kitchen, provided the kitchen is a standard size and not a small size. Despite it’s smaller size, the interior still offers the same space as the other models that I’ve looked at. Not sure how they did this, but it speaks volumes about the quality of the design.

Speaking of the design, this fridge looks very stylish. It is an Italian design which looks very luxurious. The handles are also made of a solid metal and so is the front. Some other fridges I’ve seen have that cheap imitation stainless steel look written all over them. This is so much better. It is a very sturdy fridge that will likely last a long time. It also has an ice and water features that allows you to get cold water and ice cubes on demand. I especially like the ice cube feature. I can always get a couple of cubes in a glass of orange juice whenever I feel like it. Very luxurious indeed!

Maytag SOV628ZB American Fridge Freezer – Review

This integrated fridge freezer is very large. Only buy this if you have the space to place it or it will get in your way. If you have a large family like I do, then you will be more than happy to know that this fridge freezer can store enormous amounts of foods and beverages. Next to having a lot of functionality, it also looks very nice. It has a unique zig-zag design which gives you the most space at the top of the fridge. This is also the place where you need it, because you don’t want to be bending at the knees every single time you want to get something from your fridge. The fully stainless steel body makes it a solid and sturdy American fridge freezer that will last you at least two decades.

There are 4 tempered glass shelves in this fridge freezer. All of them also have spill guards. The door has no less than 5 balconies, an egg tray and a dairy compartment. There are two crisper drawers that are humidity controlled. These drawers will keep your fruit and vegetables in optimum condition. You can also store fish or meat in the chef’s pantry draw. This pantry draw has a zero degree option. Then there is the frost free freezer which has 4 door balconies, 2 of which are tilting. It also has wire baskets so you can freeze your food quicker and more efficient.

This American fridge freezer has an LCD controlled dispenser, which you can use to make chilled, filtered water or cubed ice on tap. My kids love having ice cubes on demand! Other features that are worth mentioning are the auto defrost feature in the freezer and the relatively low energy usage. Naturally, this fridge freezer does an excellent job at preserving food and keeping my favorite beverages cold as ice! I recommend the Maytag SOV628ZB to anyone that has the space to place this.
